As most of you know, Miguel Zayas came and preached here July 16th as the potential candidate for becoming the Senior Pastor of the Inverness Vineyard. Both the Pastoral Search Team and the IVC Elders voted and each unanimously recommended him. Last Sunday, Pastor Bubba gave his recommendation to approve Miguel and our Church Leadership Council (small group and ministry leaders) gave a nearly unanimous vote to recommend him to the church. So now a General Members vote will take place immediately following the service THIS SUNDAY, July 30th. You will need to check in at the Voter Registration Table on Sunday morning. After ministry time, all members are asked to stay for a meeting where we will give out ballots and have an anonymous vote. Please plan to be in attendance for this vote because there is no provision in our bylaws for absentee voting. And please be praying this week for God to make His will very clear to our church family on whether Miguel Zayas is to become IVC's next Senior Pastor.

For those of you who missed Miguel's sermon, here is the link to watch the video of his message. Miguel has been serving as a Vineyard Pastor in Estonia for the last 14 years. He grew up in New York and served as a missionary with Vineyard churches. He is married to an Estonian named Mia and they have 4 children ages 11 to 20. Their oldest is in college in Oregon. You can hear and see more about him and his family in the message that he shared.

Missions is happenin'! Fall missions teams to India, Israel and Indonesia are looking for 8 drivers to the Atlanta Airport over September, October and November. A GPS can get you to the right place and home again! Team sizes range from 1-4 people, so small cars will work too! (We will even pay for the gas!). Email MISSIONS if you can be one of those drivers and we'll talk dates or sign up on Sunday with Kim.

We are still having times of refreshing in the Lord's presence each weekday at noon in the downstairs of the Student Center. Some of our Pastoral Staff and Elders facilitate this hour of prayer that has been going now for over 5 years. We usually begin each time with worship and setting our heart and mind on the Lord. Please come if you need something from the Lord or just want to pray with others concerning whatever is on the Lord's heart each day.

Our church is honored to host the North Shelby group in the Student Center on Tuesday nights at 6:30 p.m. Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a Biblically balanced program designed to help people overcome their hurts, hang-ups and habits. It is based on the New Testament principle that we need others in order to get well emotionally and spiritually. CR is now in over 20,000 churches around the world. Come check it out and see what Celebrate Recovery is all about. They begin each week at 6:00 p.m. with food and fellowship and then at 6:30 have worship, large group teaching and break out into small groups.
