"THE VINE" NEWSLETTER

Happy thanksgiving week

We hope everyone will have a Happy Thanksgiving with family and friends this week. Let's take time to reflect on God's goodness and faithfulness during this time. We will not be having any Wednesday night activities this week (except worship team practice). Our youth Counter Culture and adult Community Group (a study by Louie Giglio entitled "Goliath Must Fall") will continue next week at 6:30 p.m. We will not have Noon Prayer this Thursday or Friday. And we've heard there's a big football game happening on Saturday - we're praying each of you will still exemplify Christian character during this time. (For those wondering, that's a joke folks!)

the heat is back on but now we've got to pay for it

As many of you know from being in our services or through social media, we had to replace the HVAC unit in our Offices/Daycare building. It had run its course over the last 16 years. After taking advice from companies, we determined that the most cost effective move was to actually replace the bigger unit with different units so that the upstairs and downstairs can be run separately. This will definitely save us money in the future because both floors and rooms require different needs concerning temperature. So to do this change, the cost is a little over $20,000. We had to put down half the money upon installation and have about 10 days to pay the remainder. So far, we've received almost $11,000 towards this need. We are asking everyone to prayerfully consider helping us. If you can give towards this need, please do so using this secured link and give to the HVAC fund. We truly appreciate your generosity!

NEW ADVENT SERIES: NOV. 26 - THE POWER OF A DREAM

We are beginning our Advent series this Sunday with a message entitled "The Power Of A Dream". We hope that you and your family will be able to come and participate. We will have a special youth/college worship team leading this Sunday. And adults and children will be staying in the Main Auditorium for the entire service. There is still a nursery and preschool available.

IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO BE BAPTIZED THIS SUNDAY - NOV. 26

If there's anyone who would like to publicly share their faith in Jesus Christ by being baptized in water, we will be doing that THIS SUNDAY, Nov. 26th at the end of the service. If you would like to participate in this, please email us here.

VERY MERRY VINEYARD CHRISTMAS PARTY - DEC. 10 @ 6PM

Instead of a Christmas production this year, we're going to have a BIG Christmas party for our church family and guests. It will be loads of FUN! Some of the festivities might include: Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest, Christmas Carol Karaoke, Group Games, Dancing to Christmas Music, Christmas Cookie Decorating, Snowman Marshmallow Building, Photo Booth, Ornament Exchange, etc. We will be having a potluck with appetizers and Christmas goodies. Be watching for details.

NOON PRAYER - Monday thru Thursday*

We are still having times of refreshing in the Lord's presence most weekdays at noon in the downstairs of the Student Center. At this point, we are not meeting on Fridays. Some of our Pastoral Staff and Elders facilitate this hour of prayer that has been going now for over 5 years. We usually begin each time with worship and setting our heart and mind on the Lord. Please come if you need something from the Lord or just want to pray with others concerning whatever is on the Lord's heart each day. NO NOON PRAYER THIS THURSDAY.
