DON'T MISS PASTOR BUBBA'S LAST OFFICIAL SUNDAY - JUNE 25

We hope you will be in attendance THIS SUNDAY, JUNE 25 for Pastor Bubba's last official Sunday as our Senior Pastor. Our regional directors will be in attendance. Pastor Bubba will be preaching a special message he feels the Holy Spirit has given him for this Sunday.

Please put these dates on your calendars - August 18, 19 & 20. We plan to have a special weekend honoring Pastor Bubba on that weekend. Phil Strout, our national director, will be with us the entire time and preaching that Sunday morning. Other special guests will also be in attendance that weekend. There will be fun, food and fellowship on that Friday night as we conduct our first ever "Bubba Roast". And then on Saturday, there will be a special service that we'll give out more info about later. You do not want to miss any part of this weekend so make plans now!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - THANKS & STATS

What a VICTORIOUS week at VBS!  We had over 115 people at VBS which included our new friends from Fresh Anointing House of Worship. FAHOW brought 12 kids and several volunteers to help make VBS amazing. We learned about the Courage of Joshua, the Obedience of Gideon, the Unity that Queen Esther sought and the VICTORY in Jesus - the reason we can have an abundant and amazing life. Special thanks to everyone who decorated, made crafts, sang and led songs, chased and loved on kids, and helped in any way! Bless you all!     Jason Daggett, IVC's Children's Pastor

IMPORTANT PASTORAL TRANSITION UPDATE

Pastor Bubba will be transitioning to full-time with Vineyard USA as of July 1st. The Pastoral Search Team has been meeting for the last several months and have been prayerfully considering several candidates who have applied for this position. They feel they have discovered a potential candidate who they are pursuing further at this time. They will give other updates as they are appropriate.

In July, Barry Sturdivant will become our Interim Pastor and lead Sunday mornings as well as other spiritual matters of the church. Steve Cole will continue as Executive Pastor and direct all organizational functions of IVC. This will be the transitional plan through Labor Day if there is not a Senior Pastor in place by then. They are both Elders who have both been here with Bubba the last 23 years. They along with our church staff and Elders are in unity and looking forward to what the Lord has in store for the next chapter of our church.

NOON PRAYER - WEEKDAYS

We are having some special times of refreshing in the Lord's presence each weekday at noon in the downstairs of the Student Center. Some of our Pastoral Staff and Elders facilitate this hour of prayer that has been going now for over 5 years. We begin each day with worship and setting our heart and mind on the Lord. Please come if you need something from the Lord or just want to pray with others concerning whatever is on the Lord's heart each day.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY - TUESDAYS AT 6:30 PM

Our church is honored to host the North Shelby group in the Student Center on Tuesday nights at 6:30 p.m. Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a Biblically balanced program designed to help people overcome their hurts, hang-ups and habits. It is based on the New Testament principle that we need others in order to get well emotionally and spiritually. CR is now in over 20,000 churches around the world. Come check it out and see what Celebrate Recovery is all about. They begin each week at 6:00 p.m. with food and fellowship and then at 6:30 have worship, large group teaching and break out into small groups.
